Title: MicroBrute Dead :(
Post by: redrackham on April 22, 2015, 12:38:53 pm
Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, but wanted to see if this is an issue other owners have had.

I bought my Microbrute about a year ago, played with it non-stop for about a week and then put it away until about a week ago, storing it in a padded gig bag in my cupboard away from getting damaged. I took it out and played for about half an hour, then the power completely died. It wasn't connected via the CV connection to other analog synths (I also have the Korg Volca range, but have never connected up) so I don't think it was fried by that (I read the MS20 Mini had done exactly that do someone's Microbrute). And I was only using the Microbrute power supply. When I try and switch on the red light comes on for half a second, then dies.

I'm a synth n00b, so not really sure what to try. Is it worth buying a replacement power supply, or does it sound like the problem is with the unit itself? And has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

Take it to the shop to have it tested. If the Minibrute appears to have an internal problem, use your warranty and let your retailer send it to an Arturia service point to get it fixed. Then be patient, very very patient.
