Title: Metalizer linked to envelope?

So I just got my Microbrute a couple of weeks ago. I've noticed that the metalizer seems to react to the envelope settings regardless of whether or not the envelope is patched to it. Does anybody have any knowledge on why this is? Do I have a faulty unit or are all Microbrutes like this?

That's the default routing. Says so in the manual.

If you don't want it to affect it, turn the envelope amount knob down or just patch a cable into the env out and don't connect it to anything else to break the connection.
