Title: Sending in my Keylab 61 for repair
Post by: Karlmate on February 12, 2015, 08:06:49 am
This has probably been answered but i'm not sure where to find the answer.

I somehow managed to break the part on the keyboard which holds down the keys in place, so right now my c key second from the left is slightly raised compared to every other key. I was wondering how i would go about sending it in for repair or if arturia would swap it for a smaller one like the 49? Cheers!

I just had the same issue  though on C3 (second C from the far right) .... looked it up seems to be a common issue, apparently they use cheep plastic for the key bumpers. I was playing light chords when mine broke. no force involved :( hope Arturia treats us right... I just did a positive review on this keyboard. posted it 2 days ago!

Ive had the same issue on my keylab 25. Its happened on 4 different keys now. No force either. I worked out how to fix it- I had to as I was on tour using it every night. This has probably made any warranty void but I dont think Id want a replacement unless I could be assured that the design/materials issue had been resolved.
To fix it, you need a phillips screwdriver to take off the bottom panel and some super glue/crazy glue to re-attach the broken piece of plastic. Once the bottom panel is off its pretty self-explainitory if you have a mind for that sort of thing. Dont attempt if your not confidant.
Its interesting once you look inside the keyboard that you realise its  pretty cheaply made, despite having the appearance of quality. They are good keyboards, but they would be the best if those keys were stronger
