Title: Fine tune OSC Coarse 1&2 via MIDI / NRPN (as with right-click) SOLVED!
Post by: SoftSynthM on January 17, 2015, 01:02:02 pm
Hello,

To utilize a full power of Arturia MiniMg / Mini V2 in sound design, using a fine tuning feature on its oscillators is a must. Currently, the only way for that is using right-click over the knob. Not handy if using a midi controller for sound design.

So my question: Is it possible to assign a midi controller, either by CC# or NRPN messages, to control fine tuning feature parameter in Arturia MiniMg / Mini V2?

Maybe the way is to somehow 'emulate' right click with NRPN message?

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Cheers.

Silly me, of course it can be done, found answer in the manual. I tried and it works like a charm :)

To quote Mini V2 manual:

6.3.5.6 Tricks

Oscillator 2 and 3 tune control 2 parameters: FINE and COARSE. If “Learn” mode
is ON, clicking on control provides access to the assignment of the FINE
parameter, shift+clicking on control provides access to assignment of the COARSE
parameter.

So that's it!
