Title: Keylab 61 does it have sensitive keys?
Post by: OllyOrc on October 05, 2014, 09:18:16 pm
Hi all,

just got my new Keylab 61 and Vox Continental V which are very good (having owned original Vox organ) but my main keyboard keys do not appear to be touch sensitive so all notes play at same volume? I thought they would play softer if I pressed the keys lightly and make a louder sound if I pressed the keys harder, should this happen?

Thanks Olly

I have configured it with the Vox key mappings in Control Centre and works well and have split the keyboard upper/lower at C4 and lowered octaves by -1 to use the all 61 keys. Bass on C2

Further testing as per advice ->

Hi,

yes key velocity does work in Analog Lab using Clavi (hard to tell with any other noise) and no it doesn't work with any preset in Vox (really need Light your Fire and Turn out the lights to have it, as purchased it all just for the Doors sound so 99% there except for hard and softness of key sound).

Thanks

Olly

You won't have touch sensitivite sound with organ voices because that's not how organs work, all expression is done with a (volume) expression pedal.
