Title: Setting pad note/channel from device?

Is there a way to set pitch/midi note per pad in controller mode from the device itself, and for that matter a way to set channel per pad from the device?
Was happy to find out about being able to change sequence length using shift+chan - was hoping there were other cool hands on methods like this for the controller....
