Title: Jupiter Sound Stops
Post by: alexandros77 on September 21, 2012, 02:18:14 pm
Hi,
I got Jupiter, and I have a problem with it both in the standalone and the VST version.

While it works properly for some time (it can be for 15 or up to 45 minutes) then for no apparent reason it responds weird (arpeggiator loses synch.) and after seconds sound stops. I change preset but nothing happens and only if I shut the application and run it again it will work properly for a while until again sound will stop.

CPU load is not more than 5% to 6% when sound stops. My system is Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.13GHz with 2GB RAM. Why does it happen? Anyone? Help...

Arturia's Jupiter 8 demo version stops after 30 minutes of usage.
This means the sound stop after this specific time.

Cheers. :)

Ziro:
I find that my problem occurs only when I use arpeggiator in the update version 2.5 and later.
I have no problem so far with the update 2.02. Audio won't stop.

David:
In my Elisencer Control Center, I have license for Jupiter 8V2. Why would it respond as demo version?

Hi,

About alexandros77, I don't know.
But for Ziro, The Jupiter 8 V is not activated, this may cause an issue.
Nevertheless, I report this situation to the proper dev, and get back to you ASAP.

David,

I have registered my Jupiter at arturia and got the activation code,
then in my attempts to contact the technical department about the problem i was facing, I accidentaly erased my account where it was stated that I have the Jupiter registered.
Can my account be retrieved somehow or can I do something about it now?

Thanx

But for Ziro, The Jupiter 8 V is not activated, this may cause an issue.
I bought boxed Jupiter8V1 that includes a activated syncrosoft key years ago.
I have used Jupiter8V without problems.

I bought a V Collection 3 last month, received an activation code then I downloaded the license on my syncrosoft key.

@alexandros77

I found Jupiter installation path changed

V2.5.0 : HD/Applications/Arturia Jupiter-8V2/

V2.5.3 : HD/Applications/Arturia/

1.uninstall then reinstall Jupiter8V
2.rescan all plugins in Live 8
jupiter8V works fine so far.

I'm having the same issue with some of the patches stopping after holding a note for about 5 seconds (usually the arpeggiated tracks). I get a popping/clicking noise too. Any thoughts anyone?

Bump!
I've got the same issue, and I have created another post for it. I just wanted to know if any of you solved this problem? If any of you still hang around this forum that is.. :)

I'm having a similar problem in Cubase 7 with Jupiter 8V2. I have a sequenced bass playing an 8th note pattern and after a while the sequence starts skipping some of the notes. The only way to get it to work is to reload the VSTi. A real workflow killer. I've reported it but got no response other than an automated message.

I've got the same problem!
Some notes suddenly disappear.. Reloading AU fixes it temporarily.

I e-mailed support on May 23rd and got a reply on October 15th ;D

This issue is actually addressed and under test, we will bring a new version soon.

feilertsen: This ticket number does not refer to Jupiter 8.
Is there any other information you could provide?

This is crazy that this has gone on for so long. I've just purchased it and the problem still exists? This seems suspect. Any fixes?
