Title: CS-80V with USB/MIIDI Keyboard
Post by: bigbod on February 07, 2012, 10:55:09 pm
Hi,

I've just downloaded and installed the CS-80V trial (v2.5) and installed it on my MacBook Pro (Lion 10.7.3). I'm trying to use a remote keyboard, but I'm unable to get the CS-80V to respond.

My remote keyboard is a Yamaha Motif XF. I've installed the Yamaha USB-MIDI driver and confirmed that the Motif is transmitting (CH=1) using Garageband.

I imagine it's just a configuration problem with the CS-80V but I'm scratching my head at the momnet. The CS-80V is in standalone/single mode.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards
Rod

Have you configured the active midi input port(s) that the Standalone should be listening to ?

Upper left corner of the standalone window, there's a "Settings" option that allows you to set up MIDI and the Audio interface.

Thanks for your reply... I'll double-check tonight when I get home.

The manual talks about a "Control Bar" (section 9.1.3) but I've never been able to find it in standalone mode.

That was it... my keyboard was displayed, but I had to double-click on it to activate it. All good now. Thanks!
