Title: How to change pattern via midi?? (IT'S WORKING VIA MIDI)
Post by: guardner on June 08, 2011, 04:43:38 pm
I don't know if it is already working...

but how can i control patterns via midi??
For example:
I have made some pattern for my song and i want to insert the patterns into my arrangement (not via audio export nor midi export!!). i want to keep everything inside the machine, because i want to have to possibility to change everything afterwards AND want to record automation of my parameters i'm changing while playing back the track.

BUT i don't want to arrange the same song again inside spark (song mode)!!

Elektron Machinedrum has got all pattern on midi notes, so if pressed it will be played until the note is off.

Just press Ctrl+click on Windows or Cmd+Click on Mac OS then assign the note you want.

BUT it would be nice:

Disable "Host" (so spark doesn't start when pressing play in cubase/DAW).
while pressing a midi note (which is connected to a pattern), SPARK is playing the pattern, note off stops playing!! ;)

so you can achieve some nice slice fx via midi too!

AND spark isn't running ALL the time, and there's no need of having a "clean" pattern for the "no SPARK time"...

Hmmm. Very good idea indeed!!!
Maybe not so hard to implement.
