Title: 14-bit MIDI-controller support
Post by: technomusician on November 12, 2003, 05:24:57 pm
Hi there,

CS-80V is perfectly great! I'v just tried demo version with the Expression
mate and Ensoniq ASR-10 polyaftertouch keyboard. So this is
the way to approach majestic Vangelis sound. All respects to Arturia
programmers.

But I have one question that always arises in connection with the softsynths.
Is there any support in CS-80V for extended Continuous MIDI-controllers  (14 bit and 16384 steps instead of usual 7 bit or 128 steps)?
The thing is that the Expression mate can transmit and produce
such messages from say an expression pedal. It would be great
to have more accurate ("stepless" :) ) control on the selected parameters
such as filter cutoff. Ok, the pitchbend can be used in that way, but
it is desirable to have one more independent controller.

Thank you.
