Title: recording the sounds from the drum pads in a scene

Just got Analog Laboratory I have tried everything I can think of to record the sounds from the drum pads. But nothing happens. How / can this be done. I just want to record the drums from a scene into a track on sonar but no deal it seems. Any help much appreciated.

Same here  I have been trying to track some of the analog laboratory on ableton live but doesn't seem to work... Any help?

You should record the sound that came from the Analog Laboratory pads to an external audio track.

For Ableton you can proceed like this (10 steps):
1/ Drag and drop Analog Laboratory to a new track
2/ For the test, we will use the arrangement view, so choose it
3/ Double click on the line just below the "Analog Laboratory" name track in order to create a MIDI clip
4/ Select the MIDI clip you've just created
5/ Create a MIDI note to run the PADS:
E-8 for the Pad 1
F-8 for the Pad 2
F#8 for the Pad 3
G-8 for the Pad 4

Now it's time for the recording

6/ Create a new Audio Track (Right Click + create an Audio track)
7/ Make sure you see the I/O, otherwise, click on the I/O button (on the bottom right of your screen) ==> More informations here: https://www.ableton.com/en/manual/routing-and-i-o/
8/ Under the "Audio to" of the Analog Laboratory track, select the Audio Track you've just created
9/ bellow Monitor section of your Audio track, you must select the button "IN", and make sure you have the record button of the audio track selected.
10/ Click the record button and press play.

I purchased it just 4 days ago, and got the similar problems with my DAW, mixcraft 6 pro :( . David, would you please explain how to solve it for my DAW.

 ;D Finally, I am able to solve the problem guys. For those who are using mixcraft DAW, you should know some fact about drum pads from Arturia laboratory

• Drum pads have three selections: loop, trigger and gate.
• While using drum pads for drum recording, you have to choose "Gate" mode, which you can record directly as a midi file
  • But if you want to record trigger and loops, you need to change the midi settings of midi editor to "Velocity change mode"
