Title: Best way to copy steps 1-16 to 17-32, etc.?
Post by: stikygum on May 20, 2013, 09:38:08 pm
I'm wondering if I have a 2 bar drum loop and I want to copy the sequences of one or all pads to bars 3 to 4, how do I do that? The copy button just seems to copy patterns to other pattern slots. But I just want to copy bars of a pattern to other bars of a pattern. Is it possible on the hardware or software?

center area of spark, latch 'select', use right arrow button (pair of arrow buttons below 16 step buttons) to make pattern longer. if the pattern is 1-16 steps it copies it up to 64 steps

if pattern is 32 steps it copies parts 1-32 to 33-64 if you double the pattern length

That's right, thanks for the tip. Is there a way to just copy velocity data, for example, to another track (without copying the drum sound)? Or another example would be, if I had a sequenced melody (from using Tune Mode) and the velocity on the first 32 steps are good and I want to copy just the velocity from steps 1-32 to steps 33-64.
