Title: Arturia Laboratory and MPC daisy chain?
Post by: AcoustiK on March 16, 2013, 12:41:59 pm
So I've got a Laboratory 61 and Ive read in the manual that it can also be used as a midi interface (page 79 - 7.2.1)
Ive tried looking this up and experimenting but have got nowhere. I do not have a midi interface and after reading
that the Lab can be used as one its one less thing I have to buy.

So what I am trying to do is daisy chain the MPC 1000 through the Arturia Laboratory 61 and into Reason 5.
I only want to send midi signals and not receive them. Pretty much just want to use the MPC to control
KONG when I'm using reason.

What I have done is midi A out on MPC > midi in Arturia Lab > USB cable in on iMac.

Ive tried Reason > preference > advanced. Only the lab comes up in external control. Ive tried mucking around with a few things
but cant seem to get the MPC to control Kong or send any signal.
