Title: Question New MiniLab (new to me at least)
Post by: Bill43 on January 27, 2013, 06:06:00 pm
I have the Arturia 49 Key midi controller with V collection 2 (now 3) combo package.
Other than physical size (25 key) is the MiniLab software just duplication of the
V Collection 3 that I already have ? Price is fine but I'd just like to know what
else that's new that I am getting other than a 25 key board/controller if anything.
I should add that I have the New iPad (3) and noticed that will work with
Apples camera kit added to the mix btw. I do like what I see in the 25 key controller.
Thank you   Bill Jewell

Hi Bill,

The new Minilab will come with it's own software called Analog Lab which has a lot of awesome presets added onto it (though if you have V3 collection you can use it to navigate all the presets from your instruments).
But it's a new universal Midi controller with 16 encoders and 16 pads (2 banks on 8 pads).   Since it is bus powered you can connect to the ipad using the camera connecter and it has a foot switch input.
You can find more information on it here: http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/products/MiniLab/intro.html

Regards,

Rebecca
