Title: Jupiter 8 vst not showing up in Ableton at Startup

So at first at ableton's startup the vst was said to be not found. Then when my set opened up it was in the Custom Vst folder in the browser. I rescanned and restarted ableton and now Jupiter 8 as well as everything else does not show up as a vst. They only show up as AU which would be fine, but I have old songs that I need to get mastered which I used the VST synth version for. I'm really frustrated and after a hell of a time trying to activate the products again after an upgrade, ??? I'm scared to uninstall and reinstall again. I'm on a Mac 10.8.2 with the latest version of Live. Please help.
